Don Groth is Superintendent of the Cumberland School District and has extensive experience and skills in strategic planning, communication and fiscal affairs. He provided leadership to bring the local school district on board with elimination of pop, reduction of sugar and increased physical activities for students and the community via access to school district buildings, track and playgrounds. He challenged the entire Cumberland community to get on board with an editorial in the Cumberland Advocate and presented an open invitation for the community to partner in what grew to be the Healthier Cumberland Coalition. He provides leadership for building principals and school staff to meet the goals of a healthier Cumberland.
