Pat completed her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and while working as a staff nurse on an adult surgical unit and in an ambulatory surgical unit at St. Mary's Hospital, in Milwaukee, completed a Master of Science degree in Nursing, from Marquette University, as a clinical specialist/educator. Along with teaching nursing students at Marquette University, and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she has worked in adult medicine in various clinic settings, and completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at UW. Returning to nursing, after taking time to be a stay-at-home-mom, she has been working as a volunteer staff nurse at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, in Eau Claire. Having recently been involved with a grant-funded Diabetes research project, she has become a Certified Foot Care Nurse, through the WOCN (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing society), and currently manages a Diabetic Foot and Nail Care clinic at the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic. She is also active in Eau Claire with the Literacy Volunteers of the Chippewa Valley, and as a L. E. Phillips Memorial Public Library Home Delivery volunteer.
The Cumberland community has become a "second home" for Pat, and her husband, Dr. Ron Lange. They enjoy their lake home on Silver Lake, and look forward to spending more time here. The enthusiasm of the Cumberland community to enhance wellness for all its residents is inspiring and progressive!
