Plug Into Fitness Community Challenge Winners Announced |

The Healthier Cumberland Plug In to Fitness community challenge winners have been announced. In the adult participant drawing, Jane Nickell was the winner of the family membership to the Cumberland Fitness Center. An exercise heart rate monitor was won by Julie Neurer, and a set of discs for Disc Golf was won by Mary Patrin. Student participants were entered in a separate drawing. The grand prize of a Wii Sports Bundle was won by Kevin Johnson. Also winning prizes were Elliana Vesely at the Elementary School, who was awarded a bicycle, and Logan Narges of the Middle School and Morgan Yeske of the High School, both winning $100 gift cards for sporting goods. |

| The Plug In to Fitness challenge started on September 24th. Participants recorded daily minutes of physical activity and time spent in front of a screen watching television, movies, playing video games, or surfing the internet for six weeks. The goals of the challenge were to increase daily physical activity, reduce sedentary screen time, and “plug in” to new ways of getting physical activity in the Cumberland area. | |
