Ingredients:
1 ¼ cup whole grain corn meal
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 cup canola oil
1 ¼ cup skim milk
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until just mixed. Divide the batter into 12 paper-lined muffin cups. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 – 15 minutes.
Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour in beer. Stir or mix with hands until a stiff batter is formed. Scrape dough into a lightly greased loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes (until toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean).

Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup skim milk
  Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups water
1 cup raisins
2 cups shredded carrots
1 Tablespoon butter
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
 
Put all of these ingredients in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Then cool for several hours.
Mix the following ingredients into the cooled mixture.
 
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/8 cup white flour
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Add oil and milk at the same time. Stir just until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Drop dough onto lightly greased cookie sheet to make 12 biscuits. Bake in 450 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned.
  Directions:
Bake at 350 degrees until done (about 20 minutes).
